Kathereen Kessler

I was 19 when I had my abortion. I am 45 now, I regret it so much and been living in guilt for 26 years. I remember the drive home after the abortion I was with my Mom and my Grandma and no one spoke a word the entire 2 hour trip.

Abortion destroyed my soul, causing depression, self-destructive behaviour and substance abuse.

For years I could not even look at other children or babies. I still mourn for that child, who I now believe was a boy, God has forgiven me and I have forgiven me. Now every baby or child I look at reminds me of an angel. It took years of counseling, Rachel’s Vineyard ministry and praying to get to the point I am at now. I am a survivor of Abortion. I will see my darling little Angel one day, he is in such safe hands now.

I did go on to have 2 wonderful children. My journey in life now is to keep this tragedy from happening to other women, and helping the ones that need to recover and to know God’s mercy and grace towards us.
